Eric West (guitar and camp director)
Eric is a guitarist, composer and publisher who has performed and recorded with a number of musicians including classical ensembles, folk groups and the children's’ music duo Heather and Eric. He has composed and arranged music for radio, television and stage, including the stage plays Random Passage and Carolan - Last of the Irish Bards, and the CBC-TV special No Small Wonder. His publications include a guitar method book, five volumes of folk song arrangements, a songbook/CD of original songs, and a children's’ book/CD. His music is featured on over a dozen recordings. Eric is co-author of Traditional Dances of Newfoundland and Labrador – A Guide for Teachers (Vinland Music 2007). Eric was the recipient of the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council 2007 Arts Achievement Award.
